In Hólaskjól explorers can hop off the tour after a 3 days trek along this beautiful trail. Trekkers might also be willing to continue the trek from Hólaskjól Highland Center to Lake Álftavatn and Strútslaug, the natural geothermal hot spring where trekkers can relax in natural hot pot before we continue to the Strútur hut. From Stútur the trek goes to Hvanngil where the tour ends. A full tour is a total of 6 days of trekking but it is possible to hop off or on in Hólaskjól Highland Center so the tour can be divided in two parts for trekkers that would like to trek either one of the treks or perhaps taking both parts as one.
