The second day's journey continues through the unmarked path of Álftavötn, known as "Swan lakes", and ends with relaxing in the natural hot spring of Strútslaug, followed by an overnight stay in the Strútur hut. On the third day, the hike continues to Slysaalda, offering views of the Mýrdalsjökul glacier to the south and the Torfajökul glacier to the north, finally ending at Hvanngil. From Hvanngil, a 4x4 highland bus takes the hikers back to the Hólaskjól Highland Center. The total hiking time is around 16-18 hours over the three days, covering a distance of 45-49 km.
